Weekly reflection

¨Dont take every challenge as a problem,

take every problem as a challenge¨

Three weeks into the term and my focus has been put towards completing assessments on time and towards prepping myself for externals in term 4. My main priority is to stay focus and not get distracted by my friends or others. End of the week I have handed in 2 completed assessments which I worked really hard to complete.

This week was really exciting hearing others we interested in my project and having to do a last minute presentation to present in front of the 4 council members was a lot of pressure but also challenging. At this moment I challenged myself to come up with a presentation under 5 minutes, I am truly thankful for Mrs. Paulus for giving me challenges every week by having to do these challenges I am building my strength, character, and confidence.

It was really hard for me to present in front of them because of many reasons, one of them was the fact that only one of my group members were there to help me out and because I was unwell and could not speak properly, even though I found it hard to speak I still tried my best to give a clear image of my project. When I got told that a lady from the council was wanting to give back to the community and doing this magic tree was one of her ideas, I was filled with nothing but joy this has proved that hard work does pay off. The next step we will be taking is meeting up with this young lady and moving this project forward. This week I have learned that the harder we work for something the greater we feel when we achieve it.

Weekly Reflection

We are now ending the week and let's just say the weeks have gone by so fast. This week my main focus was to keep up with all my assignments, for me to be able to do this I needed to stay motivated and focused on what I was doing. This week has been full on during to me being awfully unwell but still decide to attend school due to myself not wanting to fall behind on any assessments. I have managed to increase my attendance in all classes due to good time management and coming to school every day.

Update on the magic tree

The magic tree is slowly coming together, every week we come up with new ideas and new ways to improve and make our project stand out. This week our main focus was to get what we needed which was different types of equipment and decorations, with the help of Kent and the youth line who has been funding our project we didn't have to stress over the cost of our project and fundraising. Our sign which is going to be hanging on our tree is being designed by a wonderful artist who is unknown at the moment, but i am looking forward to showing everyone his work. In week 5 we are going to present our project in front of the teachers and also the school. Many students were interested in helping out I am very pleased to have such a supportive bunch around me to help out with this project.

Weekly Reflection

As term 3 begins the first week has come to an end, this week my main focus was to complete all assessments that were given to me. To achieve this goal I had to put a lot of courage and hard work into completing my assessment with standards I know I am capable of achieving. This year my main goal is to pass level 2 with a merit or excellent endorsement this is a goal that I am looking forward to achieving, for me to accomplish this goal I would need to exceed expectations and complete assessments on time.

This year I have taken Employment skills as one of my subjects, for this term, one of our assessments is to raise awareness and I have decided with the rest of my group to raise awareness for depression, this week has been full on I had to put up a presentation get all the information and permission I needed for this project to carry on. At the end of the week, I presented my project to Mrs. Paulus, Mr. Van Etten, and Mr. Rohs and they gave my group and myself the approval we needed for our project to continue, with the help of Kent and youth line our project is on its way to helping younger people in our community and school. For me to lead my group and this project to success I will need to work to my full potential and give this project my 100% best.
